I agree with this 100%. Add a column in the uninstall tool for the space a program is taking up.

CCleaner does have a column for size. Its just not all programs have their size info listed.

Look at the screenshot from this link.

I think the size column will NOT appear if you are using Windows XP, I think. See another suggestion in this link..

I love computer maintenance tasks.
Some of my favorite programs:
Wordpad -basic word processing
Notepad - temporary clipboard and basic scripting module
Windows Media Player 12- video, music and online radio player
Windows Media Center - live TV, local FM radio
CCleaner- handy computer maintenance tool

If something fails to work after using the registry cleaner, use SYSTEM RESTORE.

Well then, can we suggest you add this feature for XP too?

Hi Figaro,

Sure you can, just as others have.

I'd like to see it myself because I have both XP and Vista.

All we can do from here is to wait and see if it shows up in a new version of CCleaner.

If it was easily done, I'm sure we would have seen it in XP at the same time as Vista.

Careful what you pray for.

Perhaps the reason the standard Windows Add/Remove takes a long time to show what is available for removal is difficulty in tracking down the size.

Incidentally, the size reported by Windows Add/Remove is no more than an estimate,
which may fail to include all the related data folders in User Profiles (which may get left behind).

Hmm. Why not load the list first then load the file sizes? And have them both load simultaneously.

I've noticed that when opening the uninstall list it takes several seconds to completely load on my system... but thanks to the Adobe CS4 Suite, I have a lot of programs, so that might have something to do with it.

Then again, the same thing happens when I use Windows' Add/Remove function...
Of course the pen is mightier than the sword! You know who said that?

The guy with the pen.
