Problem with System Restore - removing Restore points.

Ccleaner Vers 2.25.1025,
Vista Home Prem SP2
2Gb RAM,Intel dual cpu T2310@1.46Ghz, Mobile Intel 965 express chipset family.

When using 'Tools',System restore, then removing a restore point - the following warning appears on pressing 'OK' to remove.
"Piriform ccleaner:ccleaner.exe File Volume Data\System\volume information is corrupt & unreadable.
Please run Chkdisk."

The utility does remove the highlighted Restore Point but the above warning is displayed each time.
Running Chkdisk and reinstalling ccleaner have had no effect.

I apologise,in advance,if this has been covered elsewhere or this is not the correct place for my contact.
