Program worked fine and all , but i can not for the life of me actually recover the files i want.
I always get the " Unit not ready" error message.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated ;)

Can you give a bit more info Sargoth such as which operating system you are using, and where you are trying to recover the files to.

Is it when you do a deep scan or normal one?

Any other info?

Also perhaps run a debug log and attach the log here in a post

Just a quick reply here , while i try a few more things.

Running vista. Tried recovering to all hard drives and partitions , all say " Unit not ready" . This was during deep scan , as i didnt find any of the files i needed in a normal scan. The files are not hurt , they all show a green light\good condition.
I dont know what more to say really. Hdd crashed a week ago , i got a new one , and im running the old crashed one through an usb adapter ( funny little thing really ). Hard drive is severly damaged and has been formatted , but file still shows up with green light and no issues ( compared to many other files... )

Is it possible that "unit not ready " means that the damaged hdd is not starting up when the program tries to extract the data? I just cant find any info on what unit not ready means...
