When I click on the link to check within CCleaner for updates to CCleaner, both Firefox and IE open. Firefox is and has been my default browser for years, and I have made no changes that I know of to either. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, is there a known fix so that only the default browser open?

Hi zeitwatch, and welcome to Piriform.
This is an old thread, but I can't find any similar examples of your problem more recent than this. Have a look at it from post#4, and see if the suggestions work for you.

I'm assuming you are using the latest CCleaner.
