I've been using CCleaner for a while now, first on a Windows ME platform and now on Windows Vista. I've had issues with both the previous and most recent version of the program, where after starting and opening with the panel window for a second, it immediately closes and disappears.
What could be the issue?

- Two things to check:
- If you click the Run Cleaner button and it immediately closes after that disable the setting 'Close program after cleaning' which is located in: Options->Advanced
- Rule out an active malware infection by following this advice.

I've followed the steps listed in your suggested noš 2 option, and CCleaner now does stay open and perform its sweeping tasks as normal. It's also useful to have a few more scanning programs in the Start Menu.
