I think we are going to need a bit more info than that.
What did you completely reinstall, system restore, ccleaner, or what?
What operating system are you using?
What version of ccleaner?
What did you do?
Any error messages?

re above: reinstalled latest cccleaner, downloaded this am..did complete reboot,etc.. operating on Win XP.. 2.75g memory, when I went to the clean - restore spot.. it looked like it was going to start, but didn't find anything (?) just a blank page. I was going to delete many "restore files" obviously now can't. Came here, and saw others with same problem I thought, but no answer could I find. I hope you are able to help.
Thanks.... maybe I am just too old to be trying to stay up with things. (74yrs)

Did you previously use ccleaner to clean any old restore points?
Have you had a look to see if any restore points are listed in windows and to check that system restore is actually turned on?
You can check if it is turned on by right-clicking on the ''my computer'' icon on you desktop, choosing properties, and then the system restore tab.
If it is you can see what restore points are there by going to start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore.
P.S. You are never too old

Here is a way to clear all your system restore points apart from the last one made.

If everything is standard on your computer it will be the C drive you choose (like in the middle picture in the link above.)

Yes I have used the CC in the past to eliminate some of the files. However at this point it evidently isn't finding any to remove, although there are many there. Thank you for trying to help, I just am not able to use the program at the present. I am guessing it is just since the latest update, but I don't know. I will just keep trying to find other ways to eliminate those old "restore files". Right now they are just cluttering up my computer.
