Dear friends, since Recuva provides the feature of making files unrecoverable, what about making them really, really unrecoverable by also deleting their file names? Perhaps a new checkbox in the Options/ Action tab could provide the access to this feature.

With regards, Eduardo

I believe mods should merge these posts. As a good feature with a check mark to use it would the peter gutmen it will write over ten times files can not be recovered when used . :D

Merging such threads, and trying to make sense of the merged mess, would be a real time-wasting pain in the b. The Gutmann method is not relevant to the problem of overwriting file names in the MFT, and not relevant to this century's disk drives.

Amen to that! Must stop washing my hands 35 times before dinner.
