Hi All I am new to this site and am very upset. For years i have used C Cleaner and it was working great in Vista. Like a lot more we shelled out £70 odd to buy the latest Windows 7 but they do not tell you that most of your programmes wont work.
I even tried to load and run the new C Cleaner last night downloaded it ok but when i try and run it all i get is Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file Thats it red light, no go, kaput so too are a 80% of my nasty killers only spy bot works. So changing over has stopped me using a lot of programmes that i have paid a lot of money for. Windows 7 might be the bees knees but it looks like back to vista i go.
Like i have said it just aint the same without C Cleaner would like to hear your comments :(
PS Also gone are Real player photo shop Nero and many more.

I havent had any problems running my Vista apps on Win7 and I dont get such warnings. I get a notice about the file and am I sure I want to open it (because it was downloaded). But I have the option to open/run it.

Which edition of Windows 7 are you using?
Is your user account a standard or admin account?
Have you altered your User Account Control setting?
Have you installed any security software (Antivirus, Antispyware etc)?

It looks like you may have gotten a corrupted download. I just downloaded and installed CCleaner 2.25 on Windows 7, and it showed a correct digital signature:
Attached File  ccleaner_w7.png   22.2K   4 downloads
It installed fine, and it ran fine.

If you have any other applications that wouldn't run, you can always run them in compatibility mode. I think that there is compatibility back to Windows 95.

Windows 7 should be able to run just about anything.

It downloaded corrupt for me earlier in the day.

If you use a download manager just cancel the download, and copy the URL from the download link that reads "Click here if it does not" and paste that into the download manager to get the file (not all download managers support such links though) - or download from Filehippo.com here.
Complexity of incoherent design.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and have noticed the following problems with CCleaner:

1. It does not erase the run dialog entries.

2. It will not start up with Windows 7 even if it's set to start up in msconfig.

3. It will not erase Explorer history.

4. Also, under Windows Vista, I used a program called RocketDock. When I would right click on the Recycle Bin dock icon, it would show me the right-click menu along with the CCleaner functions. In Windows 7, the CCleaner functions are not there for the dock icon (although they are for the regular Desktop Recycle Bin icon).

I'm hoping you guys can help me figure out what's going on and how to fix the above problems!

Thanks,
Waqas

Just tried to install 2.25.1025 on my fresh built Win 7 Home Premium x64 PC. I aborted when I realized it was trying to install as a 32bit app [...\ccleaner(x86)\...]. Anyone had any luck getting CCleaner to install as a 64bit app?

I realize Win 7 support in CCleaner is not fully cooked yet so it might not be possible.

It's not a problem. CCleaner will work even if it's not 64-bit.
