Hi guys,

Yes I'm having that ancient cookie problem.

Kept cookies don't work after a reboot. I need to log in again into the sites.

I've searched for this on the forums and everywhere, found lots of posts about this several months ago, and I thought this issue was fixed.

I'm using the latest version, 2.24.1010, my config is Vista Home Premium, I installed all updates including SP2, and I have IE8.

I add the cookies I want to keep to the keep list, and CC brilliantly keeps them when I do a clean, no probs with that. They even work if I fire IE8 up right after a clean. However, if I reboot, that's it, they don't work. I might add, I've checked it and those cookies are still in the cookies folder on my hard drive though.

Yes, I've tried unchecking cleaning index.dat, and indeed, that way it works. However, I want to be able to delete index.dat.

I've just tried Tracks Eraser, and this cookie issue is not present in that, even with deleting index.dat and rebooting. But I don't want to use two programs for the same task and I love CC. (and I dont' want to pay for TE)

So, can you guys help me with this? Is there a way around this, or could it be fixed for the next update?

Absolutely no replies in four days????

Wtf?

Even the developers have nothing to say about this?

The problem is still present in the newly released version.

Hi Triton,, and welcome to Piriform.

I don't have Vista or IE8 to check your problem, but maybe this previous post may help:
