I just upgraded my daughter's desktop to Windows 7. The current 9800 Pro card is not compatible with WIndows 7. I'm looking for a replacement AGP card that is compatible with Windows 7, can handle Aero, and uses no more power than the 9800 Pro. I also want the card to throw off no more heat and noise than the 9800 Pro. Less power, heat, and noise would be even better. Any suggestions?

Hi, I have the same video card and is not compatible with win 7. I am just wondering if there is a driver for this or if there will be a driver that is available. What I have in mind is to wait for the driver and will use the onboard video instead.

Edit: ok, it seems that with the 4650... something is fishy and no Driver's work with Windows 7 but the specs. of the card itself has the power to drive the Aero Effect. seems odd.

Which video card do you have, the 9800 Pro or the 4650?

the 4650 should be more then enough. ATI has Drivers for it. Just go HERE and click which ever OS you have. ATI has Drivers for the 4650.

Where did you see that no driver's work with Windows 7 and the 4650?

Honestly - it's not worth it at this point to upgrade that machine - your throwing money away cause AGP is 99.9% dead. Buy a Ion powered Nettop cause it sounds like all she needs is basic computing.
