Running Defraggler on a 2.0 TB disk partitioned into a 250GB "C" and 1.8TB "D" disk. Defraggler runs fine on the C partition, but when the D partition is selected the "Analyze" and "Defrag" buttons instantly halt when clicked.

Defraggler does not crash and another drive can be selected, at which point the program functions fine.

Has anyone seen strange behavior in Defraggler for large disks/partitions? I have tested with the built-in defrag utility and it functions fine. I've also checked for file system errors and ensured that there is no pagefile on "D:" to no effect.

Debug file is attached. Thanks!

EDIT: The command-line version runs without any errors, but the tasks finish insanely quickly (full drive defrag in 30 seconds?). Not sure that it is accomplishing anything, and the /debug3 information is... very sparse.

Can you please use chkdsk before the defrag to make sure that there are no filesystem errors?

If it still does not help, please try out the new 64 bit version of Defraggler.

Best regards

Hi, still a problem, using Defraggler 2.07.346, 3T disk, analysis fails, defragmentation fails. Using Windows XP 32bit. Thanks.

did you do as the developer asked?

This is an old thread and In fact has little to do with your issue. The OP was having 64bit issues when 64bit Defraggler was a fresh item. You will most likely need to start your own thread
ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION
DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.
Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)
ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
