When installing an update, is there a way to save the existing settings? It doesn't seem to be happening here, and there is no prompt. Thanks.

In options>advanced do you have save settings to ini file ticked?

No it isn't (wasn't) checked, thanks. Is 'save' the default choice? It's not the kind of thing I uncheck.

Thanks for the greeting.
Shouldn't saving the .ini files be on by default? It seems standard for software and especially necessary given the kinds of cleaning CCC does.

We'll at the moment it's not a default setting.
You could put that as a feature request in the "ccleaner suggestions" section of the forum.
