Hello,
I've installed a new version of CCleaner v2.23.999 on Windows XP Pro SP3 and ran a cleaning process for "System". I've noticed that regardless if the "Start Menu Shortcuts" box is checked or not it will still clean the start menu shortcuts.
P.S. Is there any way to omit the cleaning of "Start Menu Shortcuts"?

Please give your operating system version, and CCleaner version, that way it can be investigated. If you're using an older CCleaner version update to the newest build at http://www.ccleaner.com/
Untick / Disable the following which is outlined in blue:

Is it a clean install or an ''over the top of previous version'' install?
