Dell, XPs400, XP Pro, have tried all forum suggestions...NADA.
CCleaner been fine for years, love it........nothing else running, even shut down virus protection S/W.

Does it run in safe mode?

The only thing I didn't try.... Some things just shouldn't be....like having to troubleshoot a new program to get it to load.
Gave up on it before trying safe mode.rached the too hard category....I'll use another progrqam...thanks for the reply though....I do appreciate it, and I really wanted to get it out there that there is a serious bug.

No serious bug, recuva runs fine for most folk.

I asked if it ran in safe mode as this would then rule out other issues. I didn't mean you would have to use it that way.

If you feel like troubleshooting this, just let us know. :)
