I have been having a problem with IE7 for a few days now. Every time I close out the browser, it hangs on a white screen for several minutes. The Task Manager says it is not responding. I know Microsoft has had some screwy updates lately. I have two questions actually. Is anyone else experiancing this? And, is it because of an update?

Thanks guys.

Ain't no way. I do a lot of business on this computer. Banking, ordering, etc and IE8 completely shut me down. Every time I had a problem in a website, and that was a multitude, each company asked what version of IE I used. When I said 8, they told me to go back to 7. 8 does not play well with anything. Please don't take offence, but I'll stick with the browser being slow. At least I'll have a browser.

Have you tried any of the troubleshooting steps here?

Also are all your virus/malware scans up to date and clean?

Any other problems you've noticed?

I can understand you wanting to stick with what you know, however IE8 isn't that bad for a lot of folk :)

Thank you for the troubleshooter, Hazelnut. The first step took care of the problem. I think it was the add-on settings. I did not know about that troubleshotter. Very helpful.
