I somehow managed to get it back, tried using this application, but it couldn't retrieve information he deleted. It only managed to retrieve files that were deleted in this computer. What should I do?

A year ago, one of my friends deleted the files in my 1961 MB Imation flash drive USB device (FAT 32).
I somehow managed to get it back, tried using this application, but it couldn't retrieve information he deleted. It only managed to retrieve files that were deleted in this computer. What should I do?
