The box that you check to run CCleaner at start up, does not stay checked anymore. I check the box, but there is no OK or any indication that it is being implimented. I turn off my computer every evening, and for years, CCleaner would run for a minute or so every morning at start up. No more.

Can you say which operating system you are using Schwein.
Is this something that has just started happening with the latest ccleaner build?

Welcome to Piriform Schwein.
Well a simple way around this for the moment is create a short-cut for ccleaner.exe and put it in the Start\Programs\Startup folder. Everytime Windows starts up it will run CC.

But run at start up in ccleaner is the /AUTO silent cleaner. adding ccleaner.exe will just open ccleaner on start.
will need to a shortcut icon for the /AUTO command and add that
can you do a little test. check the startup checkbox. Keeping ccleaner open go to start-run- and type msconfig
Check to see if ccleaner is there. If it is there Then close ccleaner and msconfig. then reopen ccleaner and see if the the checkbox is checked. if it is not then go to msconfig and if the entry is gone then something on your pc is removing the entry
No fate but what we make
