I cannot download newest version of Java to XP. (error workaround is dicey at best). If I use CCLEANER to uninstall ALL older updates Runtime Environments etc. will I then be able to go to Sun website and download most recent version?
Thanks.

The other day I screwed some setting up and couldn't log into a site and since I couldn't figure out how to get java working again I reinstalled it. I don't think you'll have a problem.

yes, go to THIS.

I recommend you, manual uninstall Java folder first.

After newest Java installed, use JavaRa to removes old and redundant JRE version.

hope this help ;)
