I'm having an issue with CCleaner. I have always used it and never had a single problem until now. When I run the Registry cleaner, it is showing damn near everything in the registry as a problem.

I unistalled and reinstalled a fresh copy.

I've run Spybot, Avast, and hijackthis to see if there was something else going on, but can find nothing. It still shows a crapload of registry problems. Soem of them look like important items I would not want to delete. It's NEVER shown this many items before. AT most, I see 5 or 10. Somtimes nothing.

Here is a screenshot. I drew the red arrow to emphasize that this is only a very small portion of what it wants me to 'fix'.

Can anyone help?

Perhaps you uninstalled some programs, or a big program, leaving all this values pointing nowhere.

I recommend you make a backup before cleaning, and see how it goes.
If you have any problems just restore them.

Btw, welcome to the forum. :)

I've used the program for years, so I know what you're talking about. But in this case there were no uninstalles and it is showing 3,918 edits/errors. I'm really afraid to let it do anything. I uninstalled it and did a cold reboot. Then reinstalled a fresh copy and still get the same results.

Thanks for the welcome and your time on this. :)

I would say don't let it clean the registry! You can get an older version that didn't have that issue here.
Complexity of incoherent design.
