When you download files from your camera, do you do it through Canon software or does the card show up as a new drive on the PC?

Before I got a PC with card slots I had to use the camera's software to download pics... and I hated it. Then I remembered my MP3 player also used SD cards... and it always showed up as a drive. So I downloaded my pics from the MP3 player.

Just a hunch that if it shows up as a drive, Recuva will probably work.

So you open Recuva and in the drive list as the top left select your drive/card then scan. ;)
