ccleaner appears and immediately vanishes from screen. I have deleted and downloaded several times,,,,to no avail. kindly advise JayGee

OS?
CCleaner Version?
Is your PC clean?
And specific app you installed after which this is happening?
Or.. any settings of CCleaner or the System you've changed?

Just a thought that from a previous install maybe, that you have the following box checked in the Options\Advanced section.

"Close Program After Cleaning".

I thought about that too, but he said that is closes as soon as it opens - it at least sounded like that.

computer is clean CClean latest version from piriform 2 somthing.clean works on my other computer XP I need help

I' running WinXP, and CCleaner version 2.3.0.532, and I have been facing a similar problem, I just cured it by renaming the CCleaner.exe file with any other name, and it worked for me ...pls do let me know, if it works for u as well...
I'm guessing it's some malware or virus. I tried to do some research on it, but in vain ... anyone knowing any details of this threat,pls let us know...

If it's an old CCleaner program shortcut or a unique one you've made make sure it isn't one with the /AUTO parameter in it, that will make it seem as if CCleaner won't run.
