I have been using CCleaner for a while and recently started having a problem. When I start to clean the files, I see the files that are being selected to be cleaned, flash on the screen. However, the percentage number at the top of the screen that tells you how many files have been cleaned so far stays at 0% and the cleaner does not stop. It is only when I cancel the cleaner because it will not stop or shut off, does it give me the number of files that need to be deleted, however, they are still in the computer because I have not given it the command to clean them yet.

I have windows XP, and the only change to my computer is that I have upgraded my Internet Explorer to the newest upgrade.

I dont remember the cleaner working this way before. I remember it stopping when it had cleaned 100% of the files.

Thank you for your help. Shibaboy

What version of CCleaner are you using?

BTW, Internet Explorer 8 is notorious for slowing down other application.

..and Windows XP is practically the best Windows OS.. yet. (Just my IMHO)
