This is what I get when I try to install, or uninstall for that matter, certain programs..

"Error 1606.Could not access network location :."

Solution?.. It's driving me nuts, because it doesn't say what it can't access. Usually it's some registry value, but I have no clue what to edit since it won't tell me!

Info about it seems to point to having to modify the registry to fix it. You would need to back up your registry first WITHOUT A DOUBT.

You don't say if there was any more in your error message.

I get that with some installer packages when I try to re-install or repair on a multiuser work pc (on a domain).
Usually have to completely uninstall first then fresh install, so I agree most likely a registry issue.
