This is a long standing bug. I wonder why it isn't fixed yet. Simply put, ccleaner deletes quicktime's preferences and reverts them back to default. To be more precise, it deletes "Player Preferences..." settings.

Sad to say I've got QuickTime on my PC (daughters iTunes), and I'll check this out and come back to you, unless anyone can give you an instant answer.

The "Quicktime" preferences appear to be retained after running CCleaner, but as you rightly point out, the "Player" preferences aren't.

You'll need to go to CCleaner\Options\Exclude\Add File, and navigate to and exclude the following file:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Apple Computer\QuickTime\QTPlayerSession.xml

This file is included in CCleaners embedded INI file to be removed, so for now the only way you can prevent that is by the above exclusion.

Personally, I can't see why this user preference should be cleaned by default, so maybe after your enquiry, the devs will rectify that in a future issue.

Hope that helps.
