Hello,
after having installed and used the CCleaner, all rubish and partly removed files have been cleaned up. Only one error message is still remaining.
At startup of PC with Windows XP, the P2esocks_1019.dll is required and it cannot be found.
How can this be solved?

thanks for the help.

Please ignore the advice from oli.

It looks as though you have a remnant of some spyware on your system.

Please go to the link below:

http://downloads.loc...m/cleaning.html

Download and run any of the programs that you don't already have, following the instructions on that page.

Then post a HijackThis log here.

Let me make myself clear on what I think is happening.

It is not that a .dll needs replacing because it is being looked for at startup.

It is more a case of stopping the startup entry that is looking for the .dll.

The .dll is possibly part of the spyware that was removed, whereas the startup entry was not.

All would hopefully be revealed in a HJT log.
