Hi, I downloaded the latest version 2.19.901 and every time I run the application, usage of processor goes up to 100%, even if I donīt perform any action. A worst part is, that when I shut it down, the process still appears(in task manager) and uses the 100%. I canīt kill it either.

Did you download from a safe site, either Piriform or Filehippo? I presume you reboot to stop the process? I would first run a full virus scan and then run chkdsk. Then reinstall CC from the safe sites named. What O/S, by the way?

Yes, I downloaded it from Filehippo, I always do. Yeah I had to reboot, I couldnīt kill another way. My virus program(NOD) is up to date and I ran chkdsk. I have Windows XP Home. Problem still occurs.

Which version of ccleaner are you using full (with toolbar) full (without toolbar), or slim build?
In options - settings do you have auto check for ccleaner updates ticked?

I donīt know what the slim build is. I just download it from this address http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner...db724b33ea39ae/ and install it.
If you mean CCleaner Yahoo! Toolbar? I always uncheck that during installation.

Try uninstalling it, rebooting, and installing the slim build from here

and untick the option for automatic ccleaner updates and see if there is any improvement.
If no improvement, what antivirus/malware software do you run?
