Welcome to Piriform ster.
Well the icon won't appear in the systray unless you have it tick in Options\Advanced and you have the main screen minimize. It depends on your time settings for the screensaver mine is 15 minutes but it only takes a few seconds to clean.
I bet you have CC running all the time in the systray, thats a waste of resource. I don't think it will run all the time you have to open it just to click the clean button.
