i'm running xp on an eeepc with avast and zonealarm, and i wanted to get the update for ccleaner. but the download came in two pieces, one says .exe and the other says .part. neither will open or run. i turned off avast and zonealarm, also disabled adblock extension on firefox, still the same problem. help?

Sounds like an incomplete download that Firefox gave up on, the stuff you've disabled in Firefox really shouldn't effect the download. Try the download using Internet Explorer, and download it from the official website:

Are you following the pukka download links from www.piriform.com? Get CC from the link to Filehippo, or Alternative Download, or Other Builds. I only get one exe file, and that installs fine (I use the slim version).
PS I'm on XP SP3 and using Avast and FF, no probs.
