I ran CCleaner's Registry Integrity cleaner, and now some Internet Explorer-specific Web pages don't render properly. The sites are specifically Microsoft based, such as a Great Plains timecard site. The sites only work with Internet Explorer, and not with browsers such as Firefox.
It's as though the fonts and row sizes are messed up and are overlapping each other.
Interestingly, the same thing happened when I ran Advanced SystemCare 3 a while back. I had to run a system restore to get the sites to work again.
I wonder if the problem is that Activex functions get messed up?
Thanks for any suggestions!!

Hi Darryl, and welcome to Piriform.
Did the answers you received at the IObit forum have anything within them that can be related to a similar function in CCleaner.
Any information would help in solving your problem. For the moment you could maybe uncheck "ActiveX and Class Issues" in the Registry Integrity section of CCleaner, and see how that goes.
I haven't read through the information given you by the IObit Forum Administrator, but I'm assuming you did, so there may be a clue in there somewhere.

Thanks - the IOBit forum "answers" were not answers at all. All they offered were links on how to use their product. Not very useful at all.
Another clue - when I ran the registry cleaner function, I did vreate a registry backup, and I ran the backup in order to restore the settings, but I found that the problem was not resolved after a recoot. In other words, the registry restore file that CCLeaner created did not restore the registry ssettings correctly. I will try running a system restore and see if that puts IE back to a working state, and then, as you suggest, "uncheck "ActiveX and Class Issues" in the Registry Integrity section of CCleaner, and see how that goes".
I'll post back after I do this.
Thanks for the help!!!

You're welcome Darryl.
If the Registry Issues backup was sucessfully merged back into the registry, then it's puzzling that the problem persisted.
Maybe a link to the site where you're having problems, and I'll check it out with IE7. I googled that Great Plains thing, but it didn't throw up any particular site, and it's something I haven't heard of before.
