Yep, Filehippo update checker Ice.
I've used it for some time now, and it's just an exe file. I've just tried it on my USB flash drive, and it works fine.

It's just an EXE file? I thought you had to install it. Hm... This changes everything. Oh wait... They have a link to the standalone version in their download page? I've never seen that link before. Thanks Dennis!

I only ever use the standalone, do my checking and updating and then delete it until I am next ready to do it.
