My friend got a virus and now cannot log on. It goes to Startup repair (this is Vista) and doesn't find anything, then if I choose to do advanced options, it gives a login prompt, but afterward a window pops up with advanced options, like recovery, system restore. unfortunately there are no previous restore points, so recovery through that won't work. worse is that the admin account isn't enabled. I can start in safe mode but then the same startup repair happens, same cycle. Any ideas?
