Hello!

I love CCleaner and use it for two years now, but today I tried the Wipe Free Space function for the first time, and now, after reboot, all my icons are changed/gone (on the desktop, in explorer...). That's how it is now:

How did that happen? How can I repair this? Thank you!

EDIT: I manually changed most of the icons to previous, normal look. But I can't change the Windows Explorer, it's like it's missing or something... And some others too (My Computer etc.). Please help!

I take it you have done a reboot and are using xp.

You could try these steps to refresh the icon cache.

1. Right click an empty area of your Desktop
2. Select Properties
3. Select the Appearance tab
4. Choose the Advanced button
5. In the "Item:" drop down menu, click the entry titled 'Icon'
6. Using the up or down arrows, change the number displayed
7. Click OK
Using the above instructions, change the value of step #6 back to its original position

Absolutely no idea why it happened to be honest :)

Glad the little fix worked for you.

Thank you. CCleaner is a great application, but I'll pass the wiping next time. :D
