Lately, I've updated to NOD32 4, and it's kinda bloated I think. So, should I switch to Avira Free 9 or stick with NOD32?

Uninstall Nod32 completely and then install Avira.

Compare the 2 and then decide which one suits your system best.

I agree with Hazelnut - I am a recent convert from AVG to Avira, and I love it!

Much faster than AVG and takes up less resource. The only negatives for me were:

1) the annoying daily 'nag' screen, this only took a bit of surfing the web to find a workaround.

2) the fact that, every time a suspicious file was found, it would stop scanning until you actioned it. This has now been fixed on version 9.

if ya got the resources stick with nod. the only one i would ever change from nod to is kaspersky. unless you are buying avira, then in that case go ahead and support them! :)

I heard NOD was top notch. But if it's a matter of $ or bloat I'd say go with the free versions of Avast or Avira. Both are excellent.
