Hi I'm new at this and don't know much about computers. My question is : Is it safe to use the advanced options and what will it erase on my computer?

Yes, it is safe. It will, however, erase "crap". I have used the option with no adverse results. If it is a worry, back it up the first few times you remove data.
If it isn't broke, tweak it.

hi, welcome to the forums.
Each option will give you a warning before you use it. The warning tells you exactly what that advanced option. Personally, i dont like some of them such as usser assist history. you know how when you click start, it has 6 frequently used programs? well this clears those out. i dont like to clean that. Basically what i am saying, is that its all up to personall preference.
