I had my CD-drive messed up (one of the registry files), and was not sure what causesd it. I was going to try and run CCleaner. Is there anyway to back up/recover from CCleaner from the last scan in case this was the problem, and it messes it up (again?)?

There's always an exception to the rule. I'm that exception.
