I have nver used the start menu for 'recent programs' but set this at zero and cleared the list. I then 'pin' the program icons I regularly use on the start menu - this avoids a big search through the program 'tree' or having endless icons on the desktop.

This has worked fine until I use ccleaner to cleanup the disk and the registry.

When I run ccleaner it literally duplicates all the icons I had placed in the start menu.

Any Ideas?
