Today we release a new build of Defraggler that fixes various bugs and adds a few more features, such as being able to automatically shutdown your computer after it's finished defragmenting. One of the most requested features! :)

  • Added Shutdown after Defrag option.
  • Improved Interactive Drive Map response in Vista.
  • Language DLLs now stored in /lang folder.
  • Program startup speed improved.
  • Architecture changes to improve defrag performance.
  • Minor tweaks to main UI.
  • Several minor bug fixes.

Thanks Piriform!

I like the /shutdown parameter for the command line even though you can still easily get around that. It will make my batch file smaller :) Is there anywhere I can read about the architecture changes to improve defrag performance?

So the shutdown after defrag capability is not in the command line parameters? I must have misread the new features. I see it in the GUI version. Just not with df.exe even after doing a df.exe /? in command prompt.

This feature is very useful.

I use it on my antivirus when scanning my whole computer. ;)
