Any plans onf fixing up Defraggler to defrag exFAT drives? It seems to work just fine but it just stops working when I try to analyze an exFAT drive. On XP and Vista.
Apart from that little glitch, this program works very nicely indeed. I like it!
Defraggler doesn't like exFAT

Are you using exFat on your hard drives? I understand that M/S designed exF specifically for flash drives, and that Vista doesn't make installing exF an option. You can install Vista (and XP) with exF but I guess people who do this will be, shall we say, on the fringe. And yes, we need people who are willing to be on the fringe, but they'll probably live in an unsupported world.
Of course if you're talking about defragging an exF flash drive, then search the forum to see why this is a waste of time.

Hi Phoval,
It is not a good idea to defrag usb flash drives. It will tear and wear out your flash drive faster.
The reason for this is because the way usb flash works. For example if a usb flash drive can be rewritten 1000 times it will shorten the amount by defragging it.
For a better understanding on how a usb flash drive works search the forums or google it.
