Is there a Help section or an FAQ the describes each of the selections and what it looks for and the rationale as to why CCleaner wants to delete these entires?
I haven't found anything and am reluctant to do a carte blanche delete of some of the items.

If it's the actual registry clean (issues) clean that you are talking about there is no list as such for that but if you read through the help doc above you will see you can make a back up (of the registriy entries) in case you need to restore them.
