I'm new here. Thanks for any help.

I just installed Google Desktop and noticed that when I search on things it now brings up three and four year old webpages and links that are way back in the history.

I installed CCleaner and ran it with about everything checked; I use Firefox now but cleaned IE as well.

When I went back to Google and searched on stuff, the pages I wanted deleted were still there, like nothing really worked.

What am I missing? Are those way old pages even in my index.dat file or are they at Google and cannot be deleted?
