When I use the portable version with the bartPE, either by including it in the BartPE CD-ROM, or by using a USB Flash drive to hold the portable version of Recuva, I see the same problem. Whenever I need to browse for a location to scan for deleted files, or in advanced mode to save a recovered file, the "browse for folder" does not show any locations, it just has OK and Cancel buttons.

When I use the same PC and boot Windows XP, and run Recuva from the USB Flash drive, the browse for folders works fine.

It seems that Recuva assumes some DLL or library that the BartPE does not supply, which is not present in the portable version. Has anyone seen this before, and can you point me in the right direction to get this to work properly with the BartPE.
