Hi I am new, so forgive any mistakes
I had AVG anti spyware which they are dumping, and got so used to the shredder feature
When CC Cleaner deletes files in the recycle bin, are they just deleted or shredded?
A very Happy and Healthy New Year to all

Hi Katie,
Welcome to the forums, when sending files to recycle bin with CCleaner they are just being deleted not shredded.

CC bypasses the recycle bin when removing files (but empties the existing files from it while cleaning). You can use the secure deletion option for all files that CC finds & removes (same as file shredding) - In CC goto Options, Settings and there you can choose a 'Secure deletion' method.

This works for any file(s) not already in the recycle bin that CC removes.
