I have XP and have been trialling CCleaner for a while and find it generally excellent. However, every time I run it, it deletes my Folder view customisations. How do I stop this from happening ?

Hi IanM,
Welcome to the forums !!!
Turn off all Advanced cleaning options except Custom Files and Folders if you need it. I leave it on always.

i just use all the advanced settings on the CCleaner and since then when i use any option for open an archive (for example on winamp, on saving a pic or sending something to internet) the folders just dont remember the changes.

EDIT: i change all on advanced and reboot every time, the problem persist

Try the reverse, unticking all the advanced options. It's probably Window Size/Location Cache that's giving you the problem. You can put the Advanced options back one by one, if you think you want them, and test each one as you go.

If Augeas' suggestion doesn't work, it may not be CCleaner at all. I think it's worth having a look to see if your Windows Explorer settings have changed for whatever reason.
Open any folder and go to "Tools\Folder Options\View", scroll down and make sure this box is checked:

Just a thought.
