????? AT&T is a Virus Checker ???
It's a False Postive, CCleaner does some Virus like things so is considered by a few overly egar AVs as one.
Try the no install version at http://www.CCleaner....download/builds

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION
DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.
Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)
ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
CCLEANER, RECUVA, DEFRAGGLER AND SPECCY DOCUMENTATION CAN BE FOUND AT www.piriform.com/docs

Neither Avast Antivirus nor SUPERAntiSpyware find anything wrong with the download from FileHippo.com.
You'll need to tell use what antivirus software you're using, this info is needed if Piriform puts a false positive warning on the main CCleaner page. In the meantime you can also check for an update to your antivirus software signature files.
This is the typical false positive that comes up countless times. You can of course always verify against your installed antivirus software using free online virus scanning services that scan files with multiple anti-malware applications:
* http://virusscan.jotti.org/ - Result: Found nothing
* http://virscan.org/ - Result: Found nothing
* http://www.virustotal.com/ - Result: Found 1 by Panda, who constantly gives false positives

I have saved to a file and run the virus checker and no virus is deiected. however it will not allow the as 'CCSETUP214.exe is not a valid Win32 application'. How can I download the latest version of CCleaner.

1. Clear your browser cache, the old version of CCleaner you have installed can do that.
2. Visit this page and download the build of your choice.

Yes, Its called AT&T Internet Security Suite. (Provided by RadialPoint in Montreal)
I also use it and it tagged the same file on my system as containing a virus. I went back to the previous version of CCleaner.

My anti-virus software also reported a virus in CCleaner v 2,14. It is Authentium ESP Security Suite. It's not the first time I've had this problem with a CCleaner download.
This time I took your advice and downloaded the no-install version. It worked fine. I checked it with my virus killer and it didn't detect a virus.
So, problem solved, thanks.
