Attached File  cookies.jpg   151.02K   18 downloads
In options cookies I have a list of cookies to delete. But don't have any idea where these cookies come from since I have deleted my cookies. On the right there are the Firefox and IE cookies folders.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled CCleaner but it's still the same.
???

They are called "tracking cookies" commonly used by advertisers to count how many times a site advert has been seen so that they can collect payment for the adverts.

Install a HOSTS file to prevent those adverts and known malware sites from accessing your system.

HOSTS files I use:

http://hosts-file.net/?s=Download

Managed with HostsMan and I use its HostsServer proxy to speed up browsing:

Thanks for the links. But I didn't ask my question well. What I wanted to know is where these cookies presently are on my HD. I can't find them to delete them. Cookies folders are empty, nothing in the registry... But CCleaner lists them so they must be somewhere. If somebody has an idea...

Made some experiments. Only have that "problem" with CCleaner versions 2.12.*** and 2.13.720. Version 2.11.636 of CCleaner works fine.
