In Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, the MUICahce data is stored under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\MUICache.

Starting from Windows Vista, the MUICahce data is stored under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache
I looked at my reg and confirmed the above. I dont have either key you mentioned but do have...
HKCU\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache

Vista Business (32) SP1

Can I get a XP SP3 and a XP Sp2 to confirm or negate that their muicache has moved as well. We'll also need a skilled winapp2.ini writer to write and test this new area. I tested just by removing the NoRoam from the name and the MUI Cache was then discovered by Winapp2 when I ran it it NUKED the reg entry is that correct behavior? if so than I have already tested it and we just need to create an entry in winapp2 with it (perhaps call it something seperate so that portable users like me can use either).

What is the entry you have now in your winapp? I tweaked mine some time ago and dont have an entry for it. In the registry cleaner I have an MUI Cache. But I didnt figure it was the same. Or is it?
