When i logged off and my bro ogged on

How do you expect anyone to know exactly what has happened on your PC, that's a rather unreasonable request on your part?

It could be a new software installation, drivers, or even malware related, and possibly have absolutely nothing to do with CCleaner which has been proven many times over in the past when people state "CCleaner did something bad."

well, i will tell you what i did exactly that day

First, i ran Clean up by Microsoft, then ran a scan in Spybot S&D and Avira AntiVir, no results in either of them.

Next, ran both of CCleaners parts, amin cleaner, then the Registry cleaner

when the registry cleaner had finished scanning, it had found a ton of stuff that started with "I"

right now im fixing the programs that were damaged

Was this CCleaner?

I saved a backup, as i had cleaned everything

Locate the backup (.reg) and open it with notepad, be careful not to alter the file.

Save a copy as a text file, then upload it here so we can see what was fixed.

Hi phonymouse. :)
I am sorry you are having trouble. Andavari suggested that the problem is not related to CCleaner, and I have to concur.

I just did an experiment:

----> Don't try this at home...professional driver on a closed track...DANGER Will Robinson! <---- :P

Seriously, I am the worst registry 'fraidy cat I know, and wouldn't have done it unless I had a virtualization app running. You should never add or remove anything from the registry unless you know exactly what it is.

1. Ran CCleaner v. 2.11.636 registry cleanup option. Selected everything (I too had a bunch of entries starting with "I").
2. Fixed everything, a bunch of stuff, more than a screen full. First time I have ever done this, so lots of junk.
3. Followed the prompt to back up the registry.
4. Cannot reboot, (edit: because of the virtualization app running changes would be lost anyway), but tried most all of my applications, they worked.
5. Restored the deleted registry items, scanned for issues again and they're all back.
6. Everything still works.

Soooo, problem probably did not arise from CCleaner.
The SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-)

Make sure you read this post by me, as I've seen the issue with Windows Disk Cleanup I posted about on multiple PC's now.
