had Norton antivirus but I let it get out of date and ended up with some malware. I tried AVG and then followed it up with CCleaner. (have used CCleaner several other times with good success, but this is the first time I've used AVG)
After the restart I couldn't connect to internet. My provider tech support took me through the internet explorer update to try and repair it. Didn't work so I have no internet connection.
I found the Malware Removal instructions but without the internet it appears that I will have problems completing some steps. I can download the various software programs on another computer and transfer them to my desktop. But Steps 2A and 3 both seem to need an active internet connection.
How do I get the most current updates to complete the Malware Removal instructions?
Used CCleaner, now Internet Explorer doesn't work

Hello aggiser,
Chances are it was AVG that caused this issue, not CCleaner that cause your computer not to boot. If I'm going to help you I need to know a couple of things first, such as which operating system you're using, and if it has service packs installed.
