My wife reported issues with her laptop. It runs XP.

Anyhow search using Google and it brings up a list of sites. When you click on a site it redirects you to some bogus site by adding random characters in the address line.

Also had this Windows XP security site etc come up. Couldn't get rid of it.

Then tried to install Mozilla Firefox which I run. No dice. The sites comes up but I can't see the download. Page loads with multiple errors.

The found this sites and read the instruction on what to do.

Went to the cc cleaner site to dl and i get a windows message that the Installer Integrity test has failed.....

Tried to access this forum from the laptop and was unable to logon. So I am typing this from my laptop.

Just wondering if someone could let me know the best place to start.

Thanks

Not sure what happened to the other posts before this topic was moved.

I assume the suggestions were not correct.

Just wondering where to start. Was unable to load CCleaner.
