I need some serious help real quick my laptop has downloaded the antivirus 2008 software and it is now sitting on my system it wont let me uninstall it. please help

Hi
Thanks for the help earlier i was able to run malware and remove this off my system. Another quick question Can you advice how to check whether this is totally off my system
